Let’s turn back the clock exactly 2 years to February 16, 2022. Why? To honor this beautiful cat! Let’s call her/him the Library Brook Bobcat since that’s where these remarkable photographs were taken.

Looks like a miniature tiger, don’t you think? Lynx rufus crossing the midwinter frozen brook. Confident. Strong. Alert. Hunting…

Documenting these healthy predators thriving in the Champlain Valley is reassuring evidence that long term efforts to rewild the Adirondack Coast are succeeding despite persistent challenges.
