Watersports were one of the lifestyle passions that lured us to full time, year round Champlaining. And windsurfing, even late November windsurfing, was one of our favorites.
We could… windsurf for half the year instead of just two or three months, starting in May with drysuits and finishing in the end of October.

Bundled up in thick wetsuits, booties, gloves, and hats we seek to preserve as much body heat as possible. Of course, when you’re scudding along with the wind over your shoulder, you’re burning plenty of calories, and that keeps you warm. But catapult into the cold water, and you body temperature plummets.
Susan feeling celebratory after windsurfing! Maybe we’ll manage some December watersports this year?!?!
